Rapidplay Tournament

The club’s annual 6-Rounds Rapidplay Tournament (organised under a FIDE licensed arbiter) is normally held on a Saturday at Holy Innocents’ School, Mitchell Road, Orpington BR6 9JT. More details will be published here nearer to time to enter the tournament via an online form.

Venue in the past has been the Holy Innocents’ Catholic Primary School, Mitchell Road, Orpington BR6 9JT (nearest station Orpington, 20 min by train from London; free car parking)
Indicative Times: Start time 10.00am – Finish 6.00pm with lunch break – Prize giving 6.30pm
Time control : 25 minutes + 5 second per move  

PRIZE FUND generally over £1000 based on number of entries

(or 70% of entrance fees if income is less than the amount required to cover the costs)

Prize categories as follows:  Open , U160 , U120 

Junior tournament – Minimum of £100 of prizes and trophies

Rating prizes for under 180, under 140 and under 100
